I only use facebook to keep in touch with friends I already know. I get the feeling that others would find me creepy if I sent them a friend request, and I think that they do have the right to think that since you have to actively search for people on there.

Otherwise I haven't really focused on what specific websites I make friends on. I don't like to limit myself, really; I happen to make friends wherever, whether it's here or on other forums or youtube or whatever else.

I do...it keeps me in contact with my friends who also have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and friends from school. I communicate much better on the computer than I do in person/on the phone

I use Facebook every day, along with Skype. Never tried Twitter or anything else really.

I have a facebook page that connects to people I went to highschool with, but we haven't stayed in touch. I'm trying twitter now, but I find it confusing and a bit distressing, it's a peculiar interaction style and I'm very unsure of myself using it. I left a forum recently where the active users are a rapidly changing population and I can't keep up with the demands of making friends with each new member or feeling left out. On-line friendships make me nervous right now, I've always had difficulties setting boundaries that work for me and adhering to them.

No. Have nothing and am even proud of that :P
Only occasionally lurk in forums so that my writing skills wouldn't rust completely ..

I'm on Facebook and Friends Reunited, but I rarely use them. WP is my social network - you lot are my pals. :)

I thought this thread would be about social networking in general, not just facebook. Most people on here supposedly have a facebook account.

Trying to stop. Was wasting too much time. Twitter is great for business but FB is just a chatroom. I used to post a lot of personal things to my Twitter and FB which cost me quite a bit. I recently realized that I couldn't keep this up. Now it all feels kind of blank.

Yes to both. I rarely use Twitter any more. Every time I use it I just get bored and don't know what to type. Facebook is fine because I have my family and friends on it and usually just upload photos from my mobile of my cat with another new toy.

Every now and again, yeah. There is even an Asperger's Facebook group I sometimes post on.

I use a lot of them. I don't have any friends IRL in this area so the internet is my main way of socializing.
