I'm no scientist, but I think you'll find many people here who have a scientific outlook, a decent knowledge base, and the means to find the information you seek, and this is essentially what makes a scientist.
Also, beware of people who claim to be authorities on anything, especially if they claim to have the final answer to end all questions. Unless of course they actually do... (Have to add that to cover myself
). And remember that a well-informed and thoroughly reviewed scientific consensus is more helpful than the opinion of any individual, no matter how educated.
