i think it's the question in the middle where there's the x's, big x and a dot together and small x and a dot together.

130.

I wasn't confident on many after a certain point. Number 10, for example... I thought I had determined the answer but it was not listed as an option. I thought it would be a thick X in a square, no dots. The last few just seemed arbitrary. I don't know what pattern they followed. Maybe it was just a sudoku and they pretended it was more complex.

Keep in mind that these test are created by 'regular' people to use in comparisons of other 'regular' people so I have little confidence if they can apply to 'non-regular' people as some of us may be. Over the past fifty years I've had all kinds of IQ tests ranging in scores from 80 to 150 and none of them actually means anything except as a comparitor to other tests.

17 out of 18 and 130. I guessed on the last one, so I'm sure that's what I got wrong.

This was 20 points higher than my matrix reasoning test on the WAIS-III, so I think it's probably skewed upwards (but who does that surprise? Not me.)

No way would this be representative of what you'd get on an IQ test--this would be just one section of many. So yeah, it's a test of spatial reasoning, but you couldn't call it an IQ test even if it were properly normed.

But if you did well on it, taking into account the likelihood of higher values being more likely than they ought to be, you are probably above average at finding patterns in shape arrangements, because that is specifically what it tested.

Its mostly a series test. Only the last question really deviates from this, and then not in any particularly spectacular way.

I didn't cheat, I just took it again. I was going to post the results here to see if there was a discrepancy in what everyone else got but I unexpectedly got 18 instead of the 17 I got last time... so I provided it as a tool so other people could see what they got wrong.
