Do any of you wear/carry some kind of medical ID? I'm an Aspie and I tend to go nonverbal under stress, in addition to my average stimming, lack of eye contact, etc. I currently wear a small ID tag marked "ASTHMATIC" and a card in my wallet explaining my asthma triggers, as well as the fact that I may not speak under stress. Recently, however, I've been researching alternatives. I like the idea of a customizable tag, but I'm at a loss when it comes to the wording.

So. Medical IDs. Discuss! :D

My apologies; my attempts with the search box were fruitless. I shall give it another go, however, and see if it works this time. In the meantime, if anyone happens to know the location of this other thread, I would greatly appreciate a link. Thanks!

These are the only ones I could find, but I'm not sure they contain any of the info you were looking for:

You should get a REAL Medic Alert brand bracelet. Not only can they engrave multiple lines on it but they give you a unique ID# so emergency people can call them and get extensive medical information. You can have Medic Alert keep on file what medications you take & dosage, which doctors and family members you want contacted in case of emergency and you can always update the file they have for you online.

I have an "Autism Alert" card from the NAS, but I don't carry it around with me.
