I find myself often being hated or disrespected. Since being liked and respected seems out of the question, I think it'd much rather be pitied or ignored. Given the choices of being ignored, pitied, hated or disrespected, how would you like to be treated?

yes, that's a reasonable list of the choices on offer to an aspie.

by a mile, i'd rather be IGNORED. in fact i wish people would ignore me more. unfortunately they seem to like to harrass and pester aspies, so it can be hard to achieve. they only ignore you when it suits them.

I dislike hate and disrespect, and I'd rather not ask for pity, so I'd rather be ignored.

I can't understand why anyone would want to be hated, pitied, or disrespected.

Given these choices, I rather be ignored.

Probably ignored or hated. I like having rivals and enemies.

Ignored or hated. Ignoring allows me to live without pressure or expectations yet can make one feel bit numb in the end. Being hated may feel horrible and end up with horrible results yet also likely means you've stood up for something in your life, and a challenge or two at times can be fascinating. Usually the ones that make it obvious they hate me I have no real emotional attachment to, giving me the chance to amuse myself by observing their attempts of expressing their feelings. I don't think I really notice the physical signs yet the verbal side along with everything else makes up for me so that I don't feel I'm losing anything.

I'm going to be honest. Out of all the choices, I'd choose to be pitied.

I'd consider pity, but that would make me pity myself and that could only make things worse, and it would make it harder to get things like respect.
So I'll stay ignored.

I'd rather be ignored and I frequently am. I usually try not to stick out and look weird but that can be quite challenging. The other choices are not particularly attractive.

Hated and feared. I would rather sit at the table with my enemy than a friend because I will always know what to expect from an enemy.

'ignored' is what i get most of the time and i hate it... i mean i am quite obviously autistic and weird, i really can't hide it, and other people just dont know what to do or say or how to approach someone who's clearly 'different'... so they just pretend i'm not there!! !

if i'm pitied at least i can (nicely!) explain to them why pity is patronizing, and if i'm hated or disrespected there's formal procedures to deal with that sort of thing.... but if you're ignored there's nothing you can do.... its frustrating, being ignored is just as offensive and discriminatory as pity and hate and disrespect but there's no action you can take against it :(

What I want is irrelevant; I frequently experience all four. My favourite is hated. Pity is annoying.

Eh, i've tried all these skins on once. I have to admit they all have their advantages/disadvantages. Sometimes you can't get over the hated part. I will probably always have enemies now.

Couldn't decide between hated and disrespected; so I went with disrespected.

I would definitely not want to be ignored. When you're ignored, you're forgotten. And if I'm completely alone and forgotten, then what kind of impact am I having in the world?

I'm here to make things better; not to simply disappear into. That's why I feel I have been given the experiences I have been given. At least if they recognize that they don't like me, I can react. Otherwise, it's all in my head.
