About ten minutes, and I was drunk. When sober my average conversations never hit more than a minute.

I had a five hour conversation once. But that was an anomaly. The next longest would be the conversations I have with my friends, which may occur sporadically over a couple of hours. I have these conversations every 5-6 weeks, unless I can get them to go to a movie with me instead, which is much easier. Then there's the conversations with my psychologist, which last an hour. The rest probably clock in at a few minutes or less.

When I was 12, I met this great uncle of mine for the first time ever, and for some reason, for about an hour and a half, we talked non-stop about whatever crossed our minds, back and forth, with incredible ease. We even talked at some length about baseball, which I've never even remotely cared about. It was an incredibly enjoyable, fun talk, too. It was natural and I didn't strain or stress in any way. Never before or since have I ever had anything like it happen. Too bad he passed away. :(

Ten hours I think. I have talked all the way from Portland to Sacramento and back to my ex when we first met. We had to go down there and get his son and to bring him back to his mother.

I've had all day conversations with my mum, literally. Talking from the time we've got up till the time we got to bed. O f course they're very rare, maybe once or twice a year at the most. But then most of the time, though we live together we pretty much live independently of each other, talking most of the time if you added all the little sentences together-"do you want a cup of tea, anything from the shops, etc" maybe ten minutes at most a day.

So I suppose we pretty much save it all up!

A face-to-face conversation?

I never thought of counting it. I do not talk to others all the time when I meet with them. I really cannot say, no idea.

I managed to chat with people over the internet for, like, 8 hours?, on very few and special occasions.

I've stayed up for hours talking to guys I was dating, on a few occasions. But I'm usually not a talker, except in areas of my special interests.

It's a little surprising to me other AS have had so few social interactions, but then, when I think about it, my true friendships were with men I was in relationships with. If it were not for sex and romance, I would not have had the relationships and socialization experiences I had. I would not have learned to get along with guys (at least ones who are not great talkers, doing non-verbal activities like outdoor sports, etc.) and I would not have learned how to have the few guy activity friends I've had, if I never had a boyfriend.

I'm starting to think that one reason I used to get so bored with a guy and have to move on after a while, is that my boyfriends and husbands were, each and one at a time, my whole social universe. After a while, anyone will get old and stifling, if they are your whole social universe. That is a lot to put on one man's shoulders.

It also explains why my social personality is arrogant. I expect everyone to be fascinated with what I say, as if they were my boyfriends or something.

Hmm... I'm thinking maybe six hours? Does a game of D&D count as a conversation? If so, then six hours. If not, maybe four.

I've got no trouble with a conversation. Sure, I tend to interrupt, monologue, or completely miss what the other person's saying; but there's no trouble with talking unless I'm mid-meltdown. Actually, it's getting me to shut up that's the problem!

I had a 45 minute phone conversation with my sister. I have also had very long hour or more conversations with the old timers at family get togethers, although these tend to be one sided, as I like hearing their stories.

Oh ... When I talk with someone, they go and talk with someone else. When do I step in and continue ..? So, I just carry on and do whatever I do and give it no more thought. Why let it bother me

My parents don't understand when I tell them I hate using a phone, or any audio communication where I can't see the person I am talking to. Using Ventrillo while playing WoW is a bit different, simply because I have a somewhat human avatar to see while I am talking, but I still prefer to use email, or other non verbal communication over long distances.

When I am on the phone, I just wish the conversation would end.

Over the phone, about an hour and a half. I can't remember who it was, I think it was my friend who graduated from West Point (and probably is an Aspie), but I talked to him for an hour and a half over the phone, as we had been out of contact for years.

I have talked to my Mom before for a few hours during road trips or just in general. I have talked to this one friend of mine for five hours once. I actually talked to her for several hours regularly.

I am an Aspie, its just that I'm long winded and like to talk to people.

Probably the time I talked to a friend on the phone for about an hour in the summer. We talked for a long time. :P
