idk if anybody is ever seen autism 6, but little Ammon does this a lot. I do this, especially when im extremely excited. I'm a huge headshaker, headbobber, turning my head upside down, etc, and flapper, and i shake my feet and toes all at the same time. Just curious because my bf pointed out that he doesnt see many autistics who do this that are actually even verbal. I told him other auties do this, hes like ok prove it lol, so here i am hoping to prove him wrong :P . So yea ppl cmon now help me prove him wrong  Anybody else do all three at the same time?

Wow Age1600,

What happens? Does your brain just want tohave everything run all at once? 8O And to think I am having trouble trying to tweak my day to burn more fat. Meanwhile, YOU probably have to eat 5 times what I do!

I sometimes shake my head side to side and flap my hands at the same time, but my feet don't do much (I bounce my legs when sitting, and I sway side to side when standing). But, I usually do each one separately.

I'd say most verbal and nonverbal autistic kids/adults do it (motor mannerisms that is), adults too; it's just that it's not a frequent thing (less frequent with age, unless stress/anxiety shows itself when the individual is older). I haven't seen anyone flap, rock or whatever all of the time. The most I've seen was of a young girl who constantly stroked a soft piece of velvet she carried around with her when she wasn't doing anything, i.e., sitting down and waiting.

yea im like that wiht my cell phone haha stroking it wherever i go against my mouth, hands, face, lips etc..., but i flap and walk around a lot, and will headshake for hours on end... this little girl i know severe autistic, handflaps a good 90% out of the day, shes soo cute. what i see a lot with more severe kids is flickering the fingers constantly in front of their face, i think ive done that a couple times, or ill bite my thumb and flicker my fingers as they stroke against my nose for a bit while rocking hehe

Not for long amounts of time, just for a minutes or less when I am very happy or very sad.

I: Bounce, rock, jump, swing, skip, flap, bob, bow, dip, dance, squeal, twist, wiggle, walk backwards, lean, sit stand sit, pace, make tight fists, hold my thumbs, rub silky, sway, spin, laugh, clap, and crash.

Then once I am done doing some variation of the list above, I smile and go about my day. To do it maybe 1 to 15 more times that day. I usually only do up to 5 of those things at once. It is a fun way to express the joy I feel. Honestly, the only way I have to show the highest of the joy I feel.

Oddly enough, I have met someone at my work who seemed to do all of things at once. According to him, the only thing he was ever diagnosed with as a child was ADHD. I always kind of thought that was odd, because a lot of the things i've seen him do don't seem to be indicative to ADHD imo. This could just be me showing my lack of knowledge of learning disorders though, lol, so don't quote me on it! :D

Sometimes, but I mostly like to swing back and forth with the upper part of my body while sitting, and when standing I like to swing on my legs. In some way I like it, and it is relaxing. I also like to swing my arms back and forth around my body. I do many toher things I also find relaxing.

I'll quote you if I want! Except for an entirely different reason. There have been several cases where people diagnosed with ADHD have later been diagnosed with AS. In fact, from what I understand, you can't have an ADHD diagnosis if you are diagnosed with AS, because they typically go hand in hand.

I usually have to be moving in one way or another. Only when I am intensely focused on something does my movement stop, but not always. I do a lot of movements with my legs and feet when they aren't crossed. I fiddle with objects often. I'll rock, or with this couch, I'll bounce (it's springy!). I'll sway my head to and fro. When I get too much anxiety, the movement changes. When I get home from somewhere, and finally sit down in front of my computer, I have to "shake" everything out. I also do that before I'm about to do something I enjoy doing, or randomly (triggered by random thoughts of things, and sometimes for unknown reasons). When trying to sleep, I have to focus on staying still, otherwise I'll start shaking my legs and feet.

I do it all at the same time only when I'm super excited. Feels like a huge explosion of energy that needs a way out.

I think when I do it there's a good potion ADHD in that too, because I tend to start move my legs (or rather, I move my toes in my shoes in order to not bounce my legs because people get annoyed and suspicious) and head a little when I'm bored or need to move around too.
