I'm in between worlds.

Neither Aspie nor NT.

Feels a bit weird really :?

Sorry, I just suddenly had the odd feeling that I was inbetween worlds. If this makes no sense, please ignore - it was merely a short feeling I had.

Doesn't matter to me; you're a very nice, interesting person and that's all I care about right now. :)

My results in the Aspie test say that I'm the same amount of NT and Aspie, whatever that means...

Doesn't sound like this is what you're talking about, but I don't feel like I am really existing in this world today. I wonder if I appear insubstantial to others.

I often feel like I am in my own world, but needing to come out of my bubble and be a part of the greater world around me.

'In between worlds'?

What if your world is a part of the bigger world, just you don't know it? Wouldn't that be an even stranger feeling? 8O

Honestly, autistic people have the same world, they just experience it differently.

I understand completely. I feel the same way. I feel I am not aspie enough and I feel I am not NT enough. It's like I am in between so I say I'm borderline. My mother says I am anyway.

I just don't relate to lot of aspies because they have bigger issues than me or more, or more problems in their life. And there are problems that aspies still have I outgrew such as not following rules because they are illogical or the person wouldn't explain to them why.

I truly believe i'm in a category all by myself. I don't fit anywhere....I only have a few things in common with other Aspies/NLD-ers and that's it.

I don't say this out of some disingenous desire to portray myself as some "mysterious stranger from the east". That seems to be pretty common in our hyper-narcisstic society today. Everyone wants to be a legend in their own mind and everyone else's. There are plenty of TRULY legendary people out there and i'd say there's a disproportionate number among the AS/NLD/ASD community. Believe me...my own differences cause me nothing but agony and I would do anything to be unoriginal-yet-functional.

Oh...and kindly allow me to define what is functional FOR MYSELF and what is not.

I never thought of myself as aspie, I even heard an NPR radio show about them, and was like "I'm glad I'm not like THOSE people". But after learning all about aspergers, I noticed that everything I do is aspie-like. Except without visible meltdowns.
