There are so many threads and so many people on. I can't remember what I've responded to and what I haven't, so I get confused what conversations to follow. I might actually have to take notes. Sometimes, I'm looking for something directly related to me at the time, and I have to search for a long time.

I panic a little bit when I come here. It's not a lot, but it's some.

There is a feature to help with that, you can have the system automaticly send you email notifications when someone replies to a thread you have posted to.

or you can click on 'discussion' up on the left top and that takes you to the forums page, and then you click on "view your posts" on the upper right hand side - that brings up a list of discussions you've been in.

Or you can look on the 'Forum Index' page and find the 'view your posts' link in the upper righthand corner.

Yes. Which is why I usually avoid General Autism Discussion; it's way too busy in this subforum for me to keep up.

Sometimes I feel there's not enough activity going on in this forum.

Nah, talking at people doesn't bother me. It also helps that I rarely read anything that I reply to; I skim.

PM is different, that's talking with people.

I feel that way almost all the time here... I wish there was more action when I am sitting at my laptop, so that I have more to occupy my time with.

Same here. Or not enough topics that interest me at times so I feel like there's not much going on from that perspective.

No I don't get overwhelmed by this place. Remembering what posts I have made or who I have responded to isn't important. But you can always check your posts from your profile to read through them all since you don't have very many yet.

There have been people here I disliked and I wouldn't even remember the reason why or remember what jerky things they have said.

Am I one of them? I hope not...

Don't worry, you're not. I don't remember all your posts you have made.

Thanks a lot for the tips. I had no idea how many ways there were to make my forum experience less overwhelming!
