Ok first i want to say, i'm sorry im not on wp anymore, im drifting away from the whole internet scene lately, i missed all ya fellow wpers hehe. Wp is where my online autism community life started so i'll always pop my head in every now and then, but lately im taking a mini vacation from every internet site. Oh and I just realized i posted this under my bfs name lol, whoops goes to show u that he was on here more then i, now thats sad, i apologize for that misunderstanding as well!

Anyways this is under general autism discussion because my ipod is my life, and just recently its dying as i look through songs or while sitting there not on and when i turn it on dies! but this ipod is from 2005 so its old, so understandable, but the results in me headbanging badly, retreating under my weighted blankets all the time rocking, not eating, and disappearing from this world, not good   .

So heres the thing, I bought a new ipod, finally haha, and now i cant figure out how to put the songs from my old ipod on to this ipod, we cant copy the songs to the computer to do so, we talked to apple, they helped as much as they could, we downloaded the new itunes, now we have to find another program to get the songs off the old ipod to the computer and we cant find ones that you dont spend money on. I have 1060 songs on my ipod, a good 400 are not on my bfs computer, so we cant redownload and search for them, im already losing it. So we tried downloading this program, and its not working. I need help so badly, Anybody out there with knowledge on ipods on how to help me :?:

You can get programs (some of which are free) that will transfer the music from an iPod to a computer.

Go to Google and type something like "Transfer iPod music to computer", and that should come up with some software results.

You can just open the ipod up like a regular drive. all thesongs are in there, but you may have to relabel them. though i see no reason why the new pod wouldnt recognise the file format and information. i cant remember what the files are called, and you have to show hidden folders in windows to do it, but you should be able to google the info.

There's a program called "iDump". It's completely free, just google it.

Install it and plug in your old iPod. It should list all the songs and put them back on your computer. From there you can add them back to itunes and put them on your new ipod. I've used it several times.
