An amusing post I saw on tumblr. (Not sure if it belongs here. I guess delete or move it, mods, if it does not.)

"Neurotypical Spectrum Disorder" is a documented problem (for instance, here), though I don't think it has made its way into the DSM, yet.

Is this intended to be hostile or are you joking around in the spirit of the humor in the original post? I genuinely don't know.

Ugh, I hate that article (or whatever it is). I know it's supposed to be a joke or something and usually I love jokes and see the funny side, but for some reason I cannot see the funny side to this parody. I can sense it was written by a hostile Aspie who hated NTs.

I think this is really funny. With the number of people being diagnosed as autistic in the last few years, it's possible we are more of a large percentage than we thought.

Those screenshots are hilarious!

"Integrity Function (IF) is necessary for honesty, building trust, impartial input and fair decision-making. People with neurotypical disorder often have problems with integrity functioning. This can cause frequent moral dilemmas, avoidance of responsibility and problems within family, workplace and community relationships."

Is that a real thing or did you make it up?

Not "hating NT's" so much as hating the way that autistic traits are pathologized, and, by turning this pathologization around on NT's, showing that it is subjective.

I made it up based on an Executive Function (EF) description relative to ASD.

Neurotypical Spectrum Disorder is also known as Hypersocial Disorder. I found this article about a world ruled by autistics where NT's are a small minority. (I couldn't figure out how to insert a link)

Thanks, that is really interesting!

A few years ago, my daughter's friend's dad invited us to go and see their dog's puppies. We said we'd go after school on the Wednesday. The dad was astounded when we actually did go on the Wednesday we'd arranged to go. He couldn't understand it- why had we stuck to the arrangement we'd made?

He was also shocked when their very nervous chihuahua jumped onto my lap and went to sleep. He said 'you must be a very good person' and proceeded to ignore me every time he saw me after that.

I think that's weird- you make an arrangement and you stick to it, don't you? At least we all used to in the 1970s/80s when I was young. And if you realise someone is a good person, don't you make friends with them, not avoid them?

I think NTs are out of control.
