Something been playing on my mind last few hours so I thought I would post.

I have a pretty strange memory. I always forget to get my time sheets signed at college, i forget to do my jobs around the house and I forget to watch my favorite TV shows. Always forgetting, so Disorganised.

Back at school I never bought a pen, sometimes forgot my bag. Never remembered the homework, never ever remembered the timetable.

My mum always said I have a great memory. I remember everybody's birthdays. I went on holiday and met a girl nearly 6 years ago and haven't seen her since. I remember her birthday every year. I remember TV Channels, and names and phone numbers...addresses. I'm always the one who remembers what colour someones parents car is, or what wallpaper they have in their bathroom.

I remember conversations, every detail of what everyone said, as long as I was listening of course.

I don't understand it. Do I have a really good memory, or a terrible one? It doesn't make sense to me.

You have a good long term memory but a bad short term memory. I am the same and I think this is common with AS.

Just like me. Sometimes i am doing homework and i get distracted for a while, when i wnat to start again i realize i don't even know where i left the pencil. Sometimes i pause because want to look for something in my room, but when i get there i forget what it is i want, then i have to go back to where i was and try to remember. In some ocassions, i have had to do this even three times.
