Have been with people that I can't normally stand to be around. Anyone else?

Actually that is pretty normal. Even NTs have people they can't stand to be around.

I know exactly what you are saying. As a matter of fact, I experienced it just a short while ago....(different forum)

I can't stand to be around my mother. She is one hell of a messed up person, thank God my dad divorced her and married someone much better.

Ok, so you know that making the most of it is so unbelievably fun? I love bickering, you know, good humoured fighting. I've seen a few WP people get into in on here. It's great when you know that they expect it and don't get upset about it because they are having a good time. NT people do it too, no doubt. I guess if this relates to AS somehow, it's that the relationships don't last, at least for me. No matter how bad I want to (not) get along with someone, I can't seem to make it happen. I went to my first AS meetup tonight. It was GREAT! I met some nice parents and some people on the Spectrum, young and adult. I really liked it, and I talked to my new friend, M for just about the entire meeting, and I got to slightly bicker with the guy on the opposite side of me, who is an adult AUTIE. AMAZING.

I am not doing this to argue but I am concerned because research statistics indicates that all sex workers are assaulted.

Where did you get that from... *Points out that that is quite random and doesn't appear to have anything to do with this thread*

My best moments usually come from misunderstanding what someone's saying.

Guy in history class: "Sometimes I feel like an old man stuck inside a boy's body."
Me: "That's disgusting."

LOL!

My best moments are from school, those people there are so damn funny, like today on the bus when someone had frozen crumpets (don't ask) and people started lobbing them up and down the bus like frisbees. They fly surprisingly well, soon it was full-on crumpet-ageddon and the travel prefect was yelling at us but had no real control, it was hilarious!

Today was my last day before I transfer schools, I'm really going to miss it, despite the bad stuff that has been happening lately. But at least I'm going to a new school with a good special needs department; if it's anything like I'm imagining it will be, it'll be totally awesome.

I just read this - and am touched you thought well enough to mention our conversation. Thank you indeed for giving me a chance at friendship also, because I've had like frustrations - and also for introducing me to WP. This is already proving to be quite the resource.

My best social moments would have to be when talking to other aspies or (crazily enough) talking about SpongeBob.
