Does anyone here have problems dealing with mornings? It's like it takes a couple of hours just to get my senses together. If I have to deal with people or non-routine things in that time I feel like I'm on the verge of a meltdown.

Is there anything that can be done about it?

It takes me one hour and three cups of coffee to get up to speed.

I have this problem, it takes me a good while to wake up properly then when I am awake I cant just get out of bed, it's like neither my mind or body allow me to, and this has been happening ever since I can remember
Lucky for me my job at the moment does'nt have a start time

yup.

When I worked, it took me about an hour and half to get ready. Seems like everyone else takes half an hour.

I agree with you 100% KevinLA
It takes me a good 1.5 hours to wake up and get out of bed (and thats on a good day) then to get myself ready about another half hour then to actually get out of the house it takes me about an hour and I dont know why
So all in all it takes me about 3 hours just to get up, ready and leave and I know people that can do all that in 30 mins :(

As long as it's light out I don't have a problem. If I have to get up when its dark, its a completely different story. If I know I have to get up before the sun, I can't sleep all night and then can't get out of bed.

I used to have a job where I had to get up at 5 am and I went batty. Seriously, ended up suicidal and finally on Prozac. As soon as I left that job, I got back to normal.

I get depressed just thinking of getting up when it's still dark.

On the otherhand, if I can sleep until 9-ish - I pop right out of bed. I even enjoy mornings!

I hate getting up early. I am cranky but I can get ready in no time. I liked getting up 45 minutes before I had to leave for work. Now I get up at noon usually since I am barely working.

Mornings show up too early in the day. I am OK after I have coffee.

Coffee is too complicated and too HOT to handle before I'm awake.

One of my ways involves a bottle of No-Doz (caffeine pills) next to alarm clock.
-alarm clock buzz - I take caffeine - I turn off noise - I snooze - and then BAM awake!
My alarm clock has a later noisy time just in case the caffeine doesn't work.

(BUT Sometimes I just dream that I took the caffeine pill and I can't turn off the noise.)

I have a hard time falling asleep and I have trouble waking up in the morning. I noticed with me, it seems the more dreams I have and can remember, them more groggy and tired I feel when waking up.

Not that long - but about 30 minutes, 10 cigarettes and five to six double espressi. I do blame this more on my nicotine and caffeine addiction.

I am NOT a morning person(at least in the way of dealing with other people) I don't sleep well at night, so sleeping in the morning is the only way I can make it through my day. I am concidered a night owl, I guess. Before I was married, and had kids(that wear me out), I loved Saturday mornings in the Spring and Summer. All by my self. I would get up early(7am) pack a sach lunch); go to the local farmers market; then go to garage sales that I listed in full detail(and mapped out). I would then eat my lunch, and go to several flower nurseries and buy something for my garden, etc. I usually didn't get home til 2 pm.
