I'm 25. On some other forums I post on, where my age isn't disclosed, I've had people place me between 45 and 65. People have been surprised I'm so young. I did ask, but they didn't know what gave them that impression.

When I was 11, people on Yahoo! Groups all thought I was an adult because I didn't write like an 11-year-old.

People have thought I was way above 13(17-30s) when talking to them. So, yeah, people tend to overestimate my age xD.

People always think I'm older than my posted age.

I had an argument with one guy over it. He was adamant I was lying about my age, after I gave advice on getting off drugs on Yahoo! Answers.

Plus there was the mix up of my 53 year old online romantic interest. She thought I was older, I thought she was younger. :D lol. *I blame the avatars* Now she's one of my best friends. We're not doing the cuddly talk anymore.

Interestingly, she spotted some aspie traits over Yahoo Messenger, as experienced through both husband and son, and set me on my path which led me here.

Some times. Even in just plain outside activities I am sometimes placed older than actual age. My cousin said I am very wise for my age.

Unless I'm actually having a lengthy monologue about something philosophical or spiritual - then no.

I don't know it, but I assume that most people on forums assume I am younger than I am by my small talk/not as thought-through posts.

Well, you do type well for your age. I always respect you as if you were an adult in terms of how I regard your posts, and if I see something trivial, that's when I remember, "Oh that's right... 13... It could be an age thing" and don't know if I have seen that with you specificly, but have had those thoughts about others on here... Then I remind myself that age is even more irrelevant amoungst ASDers than NTs, and that I still feel between 8 and 12 often.

And me a woman. Then again, my avatar in some other forums is actually a cutesy wikkle baby bunny. A grey-brown fluffball with eyes. So I guess I set myself up for it.

Yeah I thought that...

If I remembe correctly, you were also one of the ones to think I am older than what I am... See me in person and it wouldn't help.
