a utuber is giving me s**t and saying i am not an aspie. just some person that is yerning for attention. it sucks how this happened. lost my friend. honestly, he says i "obviously" have a good life, y the hell would i pretend?

Your friend could be jealous, but most likely doesn't believe you. From my experience, Autism is more obvious than AS because of mental retardation and language delays that occur in Autism but not in AS, which could explain your problem.

Being and aspie doesn't equal having a crappy life. I've met a lot here who are happy but still disconnected from the rest of the world. From what I've seen there are upbeat aspies and downbeat aspie. I am pretty sure I piss off the downbeat aspies with my rose-colored glasses (most of the time.)

That sucks. Maybe your friend will do a little research and learn that being miserable isn't a "symptom" of AS.

Hmm... Maybe he's assuming you've got to be like a classic autistic to be a "real" Aspie? Or maybe he's got Aspie attached to some characteristic that he thinks all Aspies have (like, maybe he thinks all Aspies flap their hands or all Aspies memorize bus schedules or something) and since you don't have it he thinks you don't have it... Are you officially diagnosed? That could be another reason.

Anyway, my advice, answer with logic and facts, and if he doesn't give you a thought-out answer, ignore him. People who don't use logic can't be productively argued with anyway.
