Are you any good at math's and/or science? Are you really good at math's and/or science? It says on Wikipedia that some people with AS are often 'gifted' in math's and science, so I'm interested in just how many of you are. I have just got a A* in math's (the highest test result in my entire year group) and a A in science, so I would say that I'm gifted.

I do quite well with Science, mainly the Life Sciences, mainly Ecology and Botany. I seem to intuitively understand these areas of study.

With math I am mediocre to perhaps even a little slow. Well, no... it's more like I just don't care... mathematics is a fascinating universal language which I have little desire to learn.

I suck at math, but I'm quite good at some areas of science. Biology and most chemistry is mindnumbingly boring to me, but physics is quite interesting when it's about space and stuff.

I've always been terrible at math, but I've always excelled in science. Yes, there's math in science, but not in all fields. I struggle with physics and mathematical chemistry, but I've always been very good at concepts in all types of science, including physics and chem.

I love advanced math and complex chemistry/scientific theories. I'm not an expert by any means but I wouldn't mind becoming one!! !

Not good at maths but good at science, especially biology

My A levels will be in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. :)
I think I am quite talented at these. Well, I used to be talented at maths but the A level hasn't gone very well (C) so I don't know now.

Interesting to see there are people who are good at science but not maths. Maths is more the Aspie stereotype!

'mathematics is a fascinating universal language which I have little desire to learn' <- I like that (what you said) :)

Thank you

Math is all Greek to me.

It's awesome you got those good grades. I got an A in Biology in college. I also got an honor on a science fair project in the fourth grade, second best in the entire science fair. My project was on types of rocks.
They gave me a blue ribbon, a plaque and a book on Geology.

I'm good at math and science and I always got good grades when I was in school, but I wouldn't say I'm gifted at math and science. I'm gifted at languages.

I'm better than my peers with theoretic maths but everything that involves numbers is not for me.

As for science... I'm mediocre at chemistry, dead horrible at physics and brilliant at biology.

I'm decent at them, but no more. I used to be really good at maths - my maths teacher said she thought I would make a good maths teacher - but I lost interest in it.

I'm quite good with mathematical concepts & number theory - but I can't remember formulas to save my life. In physics, I like to read about it (I love the works of Richard Feynman - the Lectures on Physics, etc. - and the popular works of Brian Greene, Lisa Randall & others) - but I was terrible at performing experiments.

I'm definitely not a savant in either area. :)

Overall, I am much better at concepts & theory than at applications. If I want to figure something out that most people would use a formula for - I find myself having to derive the formula. Could never remember the shortcuts they taught in school, so I always have to go the long way around.

Nevertheless, when one of my co-workers has a mathematical question, I'm the one they come to for help.

I am quite good at science, especially physics. However, I just reached the point in mathematics where everything has become quite abstract and I haven't been able to keep up. I didn't have any trouble with math before college though.
