I hate it when we have to change the clocks twice a year. I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems with this.

I have no problems with it because my sleep cycle is so disorganized in the first place. I might feel tired at 3 p.m. one day and 3 a.m. the next day with no real rhyme or reason. I do sleep an average of 8.5 hours per day; but it could be 16 hours one day and five the next... Daylight savings time really doesn't mean much when you're already in a state of permanent jet-lag.

I don't like daylight savings time. I wish they would leave the time alone :(

Same with me. One hour in either direction doesn't make much difference to my whacked out sleep schedule.

I never like them going forward, reason for this is because I prefer the darkness so much to the daylight
However I love it when they go back cause it means darker evenings
But where sleep is concerned it doesnt bother me in the slightest, I dont have a regular pattern and miss out on at least 2-3 nights of sleep a week anyway

It doesn't effect me. In fact I got out of bed at noon and I was tired because my body was still set at the old time but I forced myself out of bed. I had to take care of something before I went to my aspie gathering.

I also boycotted it this summer. I didn't turn the clocks back.

Only when I lose that extra hour of sleep.
My phone automatically changes the time, but my alarm clock doesn't.
Boycotting? The thought never crossed my mind. It sort of reminds me of Seinfeld when Kramer did daylight savings earlier.

I takes me about a month to get used to the hour changing, I hate it but I do like to have some daylight in the evening after work.

Indiana just started doing it a few years ago. I'm fine with it because it makes it less confusing for the other states to deal with when it comes to our schedules here.

I hate it when the clocks change, but when I saw a message on the subject this weekend, it made me panic a little. I am in europe so when I saw a post on the topic by a person from the USA I then thought for a moment that I had failed to spot the time zone change.

Within an hour I discovered that the north americans change their clocks at a different time the people in europe (panic over)

One of my biggest Aspie symptoms is hatred of change, so yes, Daylight Savings can become a problem for me if I'm not warned about it at least a week in advance. I like changing the clocks back, because that doesn't throw off my schedule; it's "spring forward" that I hate. Last year, I wasn't warned about turning the clocks ahead in advance, so I didn't know until I woke up that morning and my computer's clock was an hour ahead. I was angry for the rest of the day. I didn't have a problem this year, though, because I was warned and was able to change my clock ahead late Saturday night before bed. So, when I woke up Sunday morning, I wasn't shaken by the "new" time.

I hate the introduction of daylight saving time in the US for a different reason. Every day my fiancée (who lives in Seattle) and I talk on the phone for at least enough time to "check in", and the time difference was far easier to calculate when the difference was 18 hours (12+6). Just as well my watch has dual time...
