It's not that I don't care, I want to care but don't feel anything.
Although, I tend to say 'don't care' a lot to my mum.
I can feign an interest pretty well too.

for me it's not that I don't care it's that I have a very limited range of emotions. Either I'm very sad or not sad at all, very happy or not happy at all....
