You may have already heard about this. I heard about this on another forum (weirdly a SpongeBob forum) and I happened to find a topic which mentioned it.

Anyway, it says it here on the Pokemon creator's website just above the section "Who I'd Like To Meet." - http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... 1000433509

It also says it here under "Famous People With Asperger Syndrome Or Similar Autistic Traits." - http://www.asperger-syndrome.me.uk/

Yep, heard about it. Thinking about it now, I wonder who else famous might have Asperger Syndrome, mainly black (that's because I'm a black aspie.) I'm glad that one of us made an entire franchise successful enough to be a classic. That's amazing.

Also read you Spongebob fanfics. I can actually imagin them as if they were the real thing, and I don't watch spongebob that often because of other things. Are you going to write for a career? Perhaps screenwriting?

Well, I am hoping to make a cartoon for a career. And one of the things I would like to do in making that cartoon would be writing the scripts. :)

This certainly makes the aspergers discussion a little bit easier -- my children ADORE pokemon.

I heard this. It explains why my daughter and I collect the little muthers and then arrange them. Good fun. We haven't gotten into the cards yet. But we play with the DS and Wii and she loves ye olde Nintendo 64 Pokemon games.

The entire concept is so aspie. A total challenge on every level. You have to know their type, evolution path, weaknesses... And I really do want to catch them all! Everytime I go to Target I have to look and see if they have any new plastic guys. (Thats what we call action figures or whatever they are.)

Same with Littlest Pet Shop.

I probably appear as if I spoil her because she has millions of both Pokemon and Littlest Pet Shop plastic guys.

The funny thing is my friends and family initially make fun of me when they see her massive collections - but next thing you know they're mindlessly arranging them.

My mom - who's a total hippy and doesn't like evil plastic toys made in China - can't keep her hands off. She even came clean and admitted they are addicting.

My only problem is I loathe pikachu's voice. It hurts my ears and my daughter loves to imitate him. He's the only one - the other's are fine.

It was quite obvious, knowing that the TV show's capacity for verbal expression was severely limited and the game itself had autistic obsession written all over it.

Well Bill Gates has never said it himself but there is a lot of proof that he did have Asperger's, he has a lot of traits and people who have met him have said so, too.

I've heard that and not surprised. Steve Jobs probably has it, too. Aloof, spacy, brilliant. People say Gates is a total "social r-tard". But he's not what you'd call shy.

I've also heard Napoleon Bonaparte. And that we has likely an ENTJ, if this is the case - I share a lot of characteristics with him.

Also, Thomas Jefferson - who I would prefer to channel rather than Napoleon. But when I'm having a bad day - I definitely turn into Napoleon.

Plus Einstein probably had it.

A person who is actually diagnosed is Bram Cohen, the creator of BitTorrent, which is a very important technological advance. Despite what the MPAA, RIAA, IFPI, BPI etc. may tell you, it's used for a lot more than copyright infringement.
