In addition to being mathematically skilled, for some reason I just pick up facts as I go along, not necessarily related to any problem I am currently working on. I just keep reading and hearing Stuff and I retain it. Sometimes it comes in handy. If someone has a question and I know a relevant fact, I spew.

If I shake my head vigorously it sounds like a can full of loose screws and nails. Rattle, rattle.

My wife is the same way, although she is a Normal. Between the two of us, we know everything.

I've said the same thing about my wife and I. But my wife ranks just 1 point behind me on the Baron-Cohen Autism Quotient Test. People at the synagogue will come and ask me a question and if I don't know the answer, my wife generally will. This is especially true with questions of the Exodus from Egypt and who the Pharaohs of the time were. She can quote the Dynasties and birth order of all the reigning Pharaohs off the top of her head.

i retain very little unless it is special interests related.

i am not good at intentional absorption of facts and info.

i am good at unintentional absorption of detail - particularly visual detail.

As yet, no-one has approached me with a million dollar book deal on
"Patterned Surfaces - The Autobiography of a Visual Thinker."
