My mom went to the doctor today and while she was there she must have mentioned something because suddenly they called and said "Yes we got you a referral, thanks, your appointment with the specialist is on the 31st."

Huh.

I don't really know if I do or not. It would be comforting to know that I'm not just crazy...

Just to say however, I wouldn't really describe it as a test, more of an assessment to see whether you fit the traits and have simply gone undetected for all this time. Similarly, I don't particularly like the term diagnosis either. AS isn't a disease and it isn't necessarily a negative condition. I would think of it more as *confirmation* of your own suspicions.

The same applies for other neurodiversions. You can't be diagnosed as dyslexic, or left-handed, or a genius , you simply have it verified by someone who's spent a long time studying these things objectively
