Weirdly, whenever I see a pattern on the wall or on the floor, I observe it. I see shapes or completely different patterns, and get intrigued by them. When I see squares on a wall, I see 4 squares wide and 3 long, about the same size as full screen on TV. And I always follow line patterns to see where the lines lead to.
Anybody else observe wall and/or floor patterns?

Patterns are my thing as well. I actually got a job once looking for patterns but I didn't get along and sometimes didn't show up so I got fired but it was enjoyable while it lasted.

i look for visual patterns everywhere. i love them. Patterns comprise some of my most vivid and important memories.

My childhood is defined by my memory of patterns in the house where i lived. (as well as screaming and abuse, but we won't go there now!) What i do remember is the detail carpets and tiles and surfaces. love it.

You you find it as frustrating as I do trying to explain or show other people where patterns exist when they say they can't see them?

i do not even attempt to. it is simply another wavelength. for instance - if someone comes around to our place and i start remarking on the markings on the decking timber, or the pattern formed by the pine woodchip that covers part of the path...they don;t even begin to understand my penchant for details.

thankfully, we have this thread......

I do like to look at shapes and patterns on walls, floors and roofs. I like to trace where the patterns go to and from.

Yes, I always notice patterns in things. And also pictures. But it never even occured to me to try to explain them to other people, much less that they wouldn't understand what I was so excited about...

Merry Christmas :rendeer: (it's christmas here)

I love patterns. I could be distracted by them for hours. I *have* been distracted by them for hours. I don't try to share this with many people, though, because I really hate it when people look at me with a blank stare. My heart breaks a little and then I have to look away.

Happy Christmas to everyone, wherever you are! Not my holiday, but I hope you all have a great time. Tonight, I will be making potato latkes and lighting the fourth candle on the menorah. Nice having all those pretty lights this time of year, eh?
