Also know as Cavernous haemangioma. Anyone have/had this?

Doctor told me today have some adnominal blood vessel in my brain the came up in the recent scan, need to see a neurosurgeon. It is not the worst type of vein related thing like other aneurism, but it can cause blood seepage which can cause problems, occasionally it can cause massive haemorrhage but that is rarer.

I think she was expecting me to be a bit more shocked, but to be honest nothing really shocks me anymore.

The weird thing is I had two scans in 2004 and 2005. They didn't pick it up then but they picked up a benign fissure in my skull denting my cellebelum which I had removed. Even odder is they used tracer fluid which should have make it easier to see, and didn’t do that on the last scan. This is supposed to be congenial, so it is bit odd that they missed it.

Nope, I had a different type, but this site is one of the best sources of info on all types of aneurysm that I found. There is also an e-mail list, so you can ask questions of the narrative authors. I'm sure there are some with your type who can give you their views.

Best wishes for a good outcome! Mine nearly killed me, but all is well now.

Is this common among aspies? I've never heard of it before. By the way, I hope you get better.

Thanks for the info. I not sure mine is that bad, but better now they have detected it. But is really strange then never detected it before.

I doubt it. It does have genes identified with it. It is generally rare and sporadic, non-heretical apparently. Those there are some countries there it appears to be heretical.

Thanks for the support. I'm not sure it has made me ill yet. I am more concerned about them having to use metal, because then I won't be able to have MRI scans anymore. My main priority is my cognitive problems at the moment. This may be involved because I have a visual deficit, and apparently a section of the part of the brain this is in is related to visual processing. If they have to use metal insert it will really screw up my chances of getting to the bottom of this. I need to have functional test such as fMRI to investigate this.

It SHOULD be heretical EVERYWHERE! I mean this is something you don't want! 8O

Congenial or congenital? Congenial would be much better.

Heretical was fun, too. Does this Casanova thingy affect your reading/spelling? You've got another good error in here, too, but I'll let someone else come up with a clever comment for that one.

More seriously, I hope things work out.

Well I have clinical executive dysfunction and a couple of other cognitive problems so spelling can be a bit trying at times, to be honest. However it is the least of my problems.
