I never stayed with a company much longer than one or two years. When I look into the written testimonials in which companies give their references the tenor was in all "professional a very good man, but otherwise the worst trouble maker we ever seen."

Not including summer jobs while a student:
clerk at second hand bookstore
desktop publisher
file clerk
office temp, including 1 week putting up Christmas decorations at a department store, 5 months at a credit card processing center and 10 months at a high tech company; mostly data entry for the last two

then I gave up

I had six diffrent kind of jobs in the regular working market with full salary during the period of 8 years.

The last job I had I went fired for the first and only time in my life. This was in year 2000.

Not counting periods of self employment I've probably had 20 or so 'real' jobs where I actually got paid plus 6 or 7 working for various colleges where I didn't get paid but earned credits for helping professors.
I actually enjoy work and am a workaholic usually 7 days a week 365 days a year. The last time I actually took what normal people call a vacation was in 1984. Come to think of it that was also the first time I ever took time off to begin with.

I've had a few jobs but I never worked anywhere for more than a month except my last job as a security guard where I worked for 9 months. But I quit almost a year ago... I have a hard time finding and keeping work. :(

Kudos to anyone on the spectrum who tried waitressing. I don't think I could do it even in my dreams. If I am talking to someone and have a lidless drink in my hand, I spill it while talking. I do the same with plates of food. Hate to think of the damage I'd do with trays of plates and drinks. What a disaster!

Too many to count without getting depressed in the process.

Early on, I was insecure and fairly lazy. I quit most of them, was fired from others.

Later, when I realized my inability to stay in a job was hurting my chances at a decent job, I made it a point to try and stick with jobs as long as I could. Today I'm still in fairly dead-end jobs.

I've had three jobs, having been a shelf-stacker in a supermarket and a labourer twice.

Shelf-stacking wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, because I liked putting the products in order, and I was so efficient (compared to my co-workers) that management usually didn't bother me. I still wouldn't like to go back there though.

Labouring was hard work, but most of the people I worked with weren't chatty, preferring to get on with the job, which was good.

as far as paid positions go i've had a few:
Go Kart track attendant,
Landscaper,
Deck restoration,
Weekend job at a garage (oil changes, cleaning, basic repairs, etc.)

i've also had some smaller jobs that were only for a few days, usually setting up computers, categorizing software, plus the obligatory lawn mowing and babysitting.

as far as volunteer stuff goes, i've volunteered for the city helping special needs children in group activities like day camp, swimming lessons, etc.. I also did some roofing in Mississippi after hurricane Katrina for a week.

I had one job when I was 14, doing a paper round, until I broke my arm doing so and gave it up.
I haven't had a job since, but then I'm only 16 and am in full-time education.
