As an Aspie, I stick closely to my interests. Mine happens to be Cartoonish Humor, Cartoon Violence, Silliness and sometimes it can get darker in terms of Satire, Dark Humor, Gallows Humor, etc. or Humor mocking Death, Suicide, Taboo subjects etc. and not realizing or caring about other peoples reactions until I get in trouble somehow.

Because of the Extreme emotions and not being able to reconize social cues, lots of us think negitively because of that. But when we joke about our anger or fears, it makes us feel better but people around us not as confortable because they don't understand that it's a joke.

So for those Aspies that have a sense of humor? Has anyone ever critizied or judged you as having a sick minded sense of humor or anything like that?

I'm just curious if there's a connection between my dark demented sense of humor and my Aspie problems resulting to my humor being offensive but not realizing it.

Yupyup. I was way worse when younger, too. I had this phase where my ONE obsession was death and mutilation....didn't go down well socially, needless to say...

I have a really sick sense of humour. Show me a picture of a dead baby and I'll think 'oh my god that's terrible' but talk about dead babies in the abstract or tell me a dead baby joke and I'll start laughing hysterically.

I have a qirky sense of humor that can sometimes be offensive to people, especially if they don't know me very well. The other day some lady I work with told me that I am one of a kind, and she never knows what will come out of my mouth.

I've been known to make up off the wall stories, have smart ass comments, and make fun of people (in a playful way of course though). No really dark humor though.

Yeah, I tend to laugh out of others' misfortunes, there was one occasion I remember particularly well, I was in a store, there was a queue to pay and a man goes to the one in front of him saying "could you please let me pass, I miss one arm". It was really hard for me to restrain my reaction of laughter. In general yes, I tend to have a dark sense of humour, I tend to pick others' weak points and make fun of it. Some find it funny.

I laugh at my own misfortune too, and don't mind others doing so.

I remember having a virus, and laughing at my friend's joke about how I was 'Down With The Sickness' (in case anyone doesn't know, it's the name of a Disturbed song.)

My humor was considered inappropriate on occasions and I am inclined towards dry humor and sarcasm, but I'm never cruel and I don't target other people's weaknesses. I find this weird in an aspie as we live in a glass house...

My mother doesn't like my humor about sex but she finds my aspie jokes funny. I once told her over the phone how NTs had AS and we were the NTs because of how they panicked over few inches of snow here and us aspies handled it well.

I don't know if I offend other people with my jokes. I have pissed people off with my ret*d jokes because they are such drama queens. They have to be the victim and assume I am poking fun at ret*d people and I'm ignorant.
I pissed a few people off at IMDB for my aspie joke about Cruella De Vil but my aspie friends found it funny and no one here had a cow about it or at I2. I think I should have just left that joke up and wait for others to be offended by it too and problem solved. That's the way of coping with stupid people who take jokes too seriously.

My mother has done Beth jokes and I don't get offended by them.

Oh god, yes, everytime I'm ill, that's my facebook status. Or if anyone says they're down with the kids.....insert my predictable response based on above

I probably do offend, my favourite tv comedy WAS "The league of Gentleman", which had inbred incestuous murdering shopowners, a paedophile-leaning german teacher (Herr Lipp), and a botched transgendered cab driver ...which says a lot about my formative influences

when I joke I often mix everything, I just convert my thoughts and feelings into comedy everything from cute bunnies to dead little babies. I seriously don't give a flying rats ass, and yes people give me looks as to tell me "you should be put behind bars". But I see it as knowing life in it's prime and disgust, I'm just laughing at it... ha ha.

I label it as shock comedy. If the Japs invent shock sex and cram squids up their but holes to later fart them out dead then I'll joke away about suicide bombings and inbred swine as much as I f*****g like.

Ha ha! I've seen an ad for that on BBC America but haven't actually watched it. I thought it looked hysterical!

I saw Father Ted a few times - about an Irish Catholic seminary - and thought it was a riot! It seemed to disappear from BBC America - but maybe it was just canceled all together.

And of course my favorite BBC un-PC comedy - AbFab. Especially now - it almost makes one squirm. I'm not proud - but as a mom - I so identify with Eddy. 8) :drunken: :tired:  :queen:

it's Naota after he declares his love for Haruko and Atomsk rips the place a new ass hole before leaving and Haruko following.
FLCL is one of the titans in my opinion.

But oddly enough you mentioned Takkun which is one of my favorites together with TV-face Canti.

One of the things that I laughed at, even as a kid is a one line joke that goes something like "HA Ha Ha I ran em over with my Truck" LOL. I've had a sick sense of humor even as a Kid LOL

I LOVE DARK SATIRE, esspecially when it's done with symbols of humans like puppetry or cartoons. LOL
