Spoonface Steinberg is a play about an autistic girl who is dying of cancer. Information about it is here: http://www.beggarsandkings.co.uk/index.htm .

From the page about the play on the website:

Quote:
Through the wonder of Spoonface's unique autistic perception we are able to strip away the muddle of the world we live in and see things for what they really are. Spoonface talks of hope, love, life, death, divorce, art, beauty and the meaning of everything, all of which she confronts with a unique emotional detachment and bluntness. The joy of the production lies in seeing the fundamental questions of human existence being answered by the least likely of people.

The author of the play is Lee Hall, who wrote the screenplay for the film Billy Elliot.

I heard the play on the radio several years ago and as far as I remember thought it was brilliant.

Thank you for sharing this Woodpeace. It is strange to see them say "from the least likely of people" after being on WP all these years!

It sounds great.
I checked out some images, and it looks really good.
I hope it comes to Australia or is made into a film (The same writer of Billy Elliot, it got me thinking).
