I am in Sociology right now and she is talking about how we learn to socialize and normal people and peers and stuff. The lecture is making me feel ill. Just seems like it is all flying over my head and it is making me feel really weird. I want to scream. I don't know why. Anyone else have this kind of reaction to a class like this?

I'd say you're reacting like most men do when women start to talk about their "feelings".

On a similar note, I always get mad when I read an article or watch a program that pretends to show what it's like to be 13 (or 17, or 20, or 40) and it's totally unlike how I experienced it. How dare they presume to speak for half the human race? :x

If you were me I'd say you were concentrating on an unpleasant sound. I just let my mind wander so that the annoying voice starts to blend into the background and ends up sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher.
I do it all the time, especially on Sundays when my family drags me to church. I only like the sermon. The rest is bla-bla-bla and sometimes the organ is downright painful.
