ok i have an appointment for a iq test tommorow, i took one before and scored 80 on it. i think it was mainly because i didnt sleep the night before i took it.

now my mother is pushing me to take this test so i can prove myself she says. my view on this is that i dont need any iq test to know that im not stupid or to show off the score to others. at first i said ok ill take the test but later i didnt want to anymore and thought i made clear that i wasnt going to take it but they didnt cancel the appointment anyhow and now i dont know what to do.

so what do you think ?.

Take it.
You are not obliged to tell anyone the result.
IQ is not everything and you might surprise yourself.

But don't be too hacked off if you don't.

All people are different and the world would not be the same without any one of them.

iq tests for those on the spectrum are problematic.

When my son was tested for AS the psychologist said that although she could calculate his IQ, it was in his case, meaningless as his abilities in different areas varied from being in the bottom 6% of society to the top 0.01%. I don't think AS and standard IQ tests are overly relevant.
