I was in a children's clothing store a while ago to get a gift card for my cousin for Christmas and I noticed a whack of preteen girls clothing that looked like it was designed to attract pedophiles. It was like childhood innocence meets adult expliciveness... What are fashion designers trying to do, turn little girls into jailbait? I think there has to be something seriously wrong with their heads based on what I saw that was called "children's (explicit) fashion"... And I thought we were the ones who were supposed to be weird...

It's sad. On one hand these designers can say "well we didn't force you to buy it" but they also know that children will copy each other to fit in.

http://www2.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=43941

"Abercrombie & Fitch, the same retailer that enraged parents last year with a summer catalog of teenage-looking models groping each other and in the nude, now offers several varieties of thongs at its Abercrombie stores, the division of the company for children 7 to 14 years old.

"It's cute and fun and sweet," said Hampton Carney, spokesman for the company based in New Albany, Ohio.

But some parents are far from tickled. In fact, they're outraged."

When money is involved nothing is off limit, even slu*ty outfits for young girls.

I wonder what's wrong with fashion designers in general...

Whats wrong with them is they are all men... They make things to appeal to their sex drive. And I am willing to bet that the ones who do children's fashions are actually pedophiles who abstain from pedophilac behaviour. And look, you never see men's clothing anywhere near as revealing as women's, the simple reason for that is most fashion designers are men, they don't want to see a man's butt in public, they want to see a woman's butt in public, so they designed the g-string. And then came the really weird ones that thought Monica, age 8, wanted to be like her sister, Jessica, age 17, and designed the g-string for children, and the jacket that clings to your stomach and puffs out your breasts for children as well... THEY ARE 8 NOT 18!! !! !

I know, the clothes are terrible! In addition there are a couple of celebrities that are popular with the children that dress much to sexy for their age.

And people are surprised when kids start having sex at 9 or 10?

More accurate statement: and people are disturbed when the 30some year old perv is looking perversely at their 8 year old daughter?

I notice the same too. I mean children's clothing now looks like mini adult clothing or teen clothing. Just shows how much kids are in a rush to grow up these days. I've even seen bikini underwear in girl sizes. I wouldn't be surprised of there is thong now for them.

I was always under the impression the adult fashion industry was pretty much dominated by homosexual male designers.

I think with children's designers, most make suitable clothes for kids. Usually if some brand or shop sells blatantly sexed-up items aimed at young girls, the general public get pretty outraged. Then again, alot of tween and teen girls shop in places that are meant to facilitate for older teens and girls in their twenties.

I have also seen girls clothes that I consider explicitg for the age group it was originally meant for, as it is purely meant to make people want to get in bed with the person.

Yep, there is no reason a child should be wearing those, but that is not quite what I was thinking of.

Damn guys... women are just like men. You comb your hair in the morning to feel good about yourself, and they wear a g string because panty lines probably look horrible with pants - although I walked with a girl my age for probably 15 miles and she hadn't worn a thong so I had a good view the entire way. You have to relax, everything has a reason - and you don't think young girls actually want to dress like Amish hookers?.. Do you...
