I dont know what other subject to put this under, and i think its to do with autism, so i put it under this one.

When you see someone do something funny, wrong, or hilariously wrong, do you clap? i saw a lady bash a car into a wall and take the front bumper off. I started laughin, then clappin. I said to my friends "we should applaud her for her perfect driving" and then we alll clapped. My point is, i clapped of free will, and they clapped as told. Is it aspergers related/who else does it?

I do this every time I get excited about something, and I jump up and down or bounce. My son teases me about it all the time. Not sure whther it's an As thing though.

No, not Asperger's related. It's a common reaction in restaurants when someone drops a big tray of dishes, for instance--I've seen everybody clap for that.

yeah, i think its pretty common humanity-wise to react to surprise and light shocks in different ways, including eager clapping. i know several people who are likely to clap to a funny accident or something, personally i dont

I clap sometimes when I laugh at something very cool that just happened. Or if someone has been putting on a good show, whether on purpose or not.
I hate clapping a lot though, hurts my palms :(

That's not nice at all. I'd call you something but might get banned.
It's more of a careless NT thing. An aspie or this aspie would be more like 'holy crap I hope she's ok.'

I do clap, but when I'm excited.

To some, it might be a stim.

Sometimes I clap when excited, in situations that are similar to when I'll flap my hands. I flap more than I clap, though.

I sometimes clap when excited. It's a stim then for me though.

It's not so much that I clap, but that I flap.
