You say handflapping, I say feetflapping.

While I've only read about handflapping, I've noticed that I feetflap instead.
Like with handflapping, it's not only the hands/feets but also the arm/leg.

Though I also have handflapping and rocking sometimes, I actually have many stims with my feets.

Do any of you have this?

Yeah. Note that people with ADD / ADHD typically tap their foot or bounce their leg constantly, as well. It serves the same purpose, really. It's good, because doing it with your legs is less noticeable and more acceptable because a lot of people do it. People who see you doing it won't just go, "Oh, that's weird." There's invariably several people in any classroom or gathering doing it to some extent.

Yeah I don't hand flap but my legs and feet flail all over the place.

My son has always done both hand and feet flapping when sitting - in his pushchair and car seat particularly. Sometimes the head goes too! :D

I knew that his sense of balance was getting much better when I noticed he could stand on one leg and flap one foot and both hands!

I rub my feet together in a figure-8 pattern and I also wiggle my big toes back and forth CONSTANTLY! I do this when I am watching TV, sitting in chairs, laying down in bed..... pretty much all the time. I also tap my toes/feet a lot of the time. My little girl was at a structured play assessment for possible ASD and the doctor actually got up and checked the door because she thought that someone was knocking!! It was my foot taping on the floor under the table!!

It gets funny when you're not on a solid floor and things around you start moving.

I did it a lot of a kid. I remember my mum telling me to stop it when we were in church.
Sometimes when I lay on my stomach when I read I foot flap.

Yes, I always have either a foot or leg, or both, flapping about. At dinner, my parents would routinely ask me to stop shaking the kitchen table. And the first time my wife noticed the table shaking, she thought that our part of California was experiencing a minor earthquake. It was just me, though.

I just had this conversation with someone a couple of days ago. I do feetflap if I can't rock. I also rub my feet together--it's very soothing.

I have not been officially diagnosed yet, but let me explain.

I am curious you see.

I love wiggling my toes. It does the missus head in. I do not seem to rock, but I am always looking for a way to keep my fingers interested. For example, I will play with elastic bands a lot when I am nervous. I normally have one to hand around my wrist. I was subconsciously doing this, as I always had a band handy. If I cant find a band then it is normally pens, or even tapping a keyboard. Anything to keep my hands occupied.

When I eat something thats a bit too hot, or if someone scrapes their knife on a plate, I go into hand flap mode. But only for a few seconds.

I twiddle my ring on my hand a lot too. Making my fingers do a twirling motion. I love also twiddling my goatee.

I am always twitching when I am relaxed. This is involuntary, but seems to follow a pattern. My arms go, them my legs.

Is all this aspie traits?

I tap my feet/toes all the time. Even when I wear shoes. I need to. If I don't something else of me begins tapping/moving/whatever and I don't want that usually. It's an ADHD/hyperactivity thing for me I think.

I am terrible with feet flapping. I do it all the time, i will often shake my leg, tap my foot on the floor, tap it against my other foot, and rub my foot onto a cold surface or table leg. I do this at work when in meetings, because as said in other posts in this thread I guess it is less noticeable than hand flapping. No-one has said anything yet

I incessantly make rhythms by tapping my feet. Or something shift from side to side, click my fingers, and roll my head this way and that s if listening to music, when there is no actual music playing....usually when I'm hyper..
