Has anyone repeated something to point of drunkenness?

I did this a few years back and it kind of freaked me out a bit.

I sat in front of my CD player and fiddled along to some really great but repetitive circular fiddling. (If anyone is familiar with really crooked Quebecois fiddle style, you probably know what I am talking about). I was really into it and just put the track on repeat... for 3 hours, fiddling along the entire time. My girlfriend at the time (now wife) came over not long after that, found me passed out on the couch, and I was in effect behaving as if I were drunk. The drunken feeling lasted about an hour.

It was one of the weirdest things that ever happened to me.

Anyone else ever done something like this?

Repeating electronica (house, gabber, etc) can cause that in me; if i've also been eating a lot of, say skittles and mountain dew.

I don't know how some people can deal with chugging several of those energy drinks; I knew people did those things at debate tournaments that go on and on, as well as some people at cons and those who it do get creativity

I find that if I repeatedly drink beers or take shots, I tend to get this drunken feeling.

I don't get a drunken feeling, but if it's late at night and I'm really, really tired, I'll get really hyper and start giggling and going crazy, I suppose people might think I'm acting drunk.

You can let ideas or even a song repeat until that way.

I think Pete Townsend has many Aspie traits, google these song lyrics: "I've Drunk Myself Blind To The Sound Of Old T-Rex"

I get that way, but I'm usually hungry at the time. That's why I try to eat whenever I can.

I've listened to music so much that I felt exhausted. And I relate to what SabbraCadabra said.

I get something like that, if I listen to really simple music for too long, I start to feel completely braindead...I have to either turn it off or switch to something really complex for a while.

When I was younger, I'd listen to the same song over and over again for hours, then when I realized I'd feel kind of out of it. Whenever I get a new song I tend to listen to it a lot for a while, although no longer as heavily as I used to.

I guess it really is the altered state phenomenon. I think I particularly noticed it in this case because I went to extremes and then immediately tried to do something normal (grocery shopping). I was tripping over my own shoelaces and making comments and observations that only a drunk would make.

It really was very odd, and I haven't had that happen since.
