Did anyone hear about this?

An 18 yr. old wanted to make a million dollars so he realised their were 1 million pixels in his homepage and offered to sell them. $1.00 for one pixel, he has sold 999,000 pixels and has 1,000 pixels left!! !!

This is no joke, check it out at:

milliondollarhomepage.com

Maybe Alex could put a link to Wrong Planet on his home page!! !! But really he must be an Aspie who sits around and thinks about stuff like that???????

AMAZING!! !! 8O

Yeah, what a jammy git!

But seriously, congratulations to him. It's one thing having an idea, it's another thing putting it into practice. That takes a bit of get-up-and-go.
It seems very surprising to me that in all the years the internet has been going that no one thought of the idea before him.
Of course, lots of people are copying his idea now, but they're far less likely to do as well, simply because they weren't first, and Alex Tew was.

Hmm, I realise you were probably being only half-serious about him being an aspie, but I've often thought my AS - at least with the way it affects me in terms of impatience, inertia and difficulties with initiative etc. - makes me a very unlikely potential entrepreneur.

Still, maybe having AS makes the thought of "going it alone" all the more inspiring.
I bet there are still more great dotcom ideas out there waiting to be discovered!

[Point of pedantry: Alex Tew is 21, and he'd had some work experience of web design before he designed his webpage.]
