If I had a catflap in the house... I'd be tempted to try this on my cat.

Reminds me of the clingfilm over the toilet bowl prank. Except not as messy... 8O

Cats are totally ridiculous creatures and so fickle -- don't get me wrong, I love cats ! They cannot be told what to do, but must be asked, and convinced (usually when you let them purr in your lap or scratch their bellies). They defy all control. They love their freedom and roam far and wide. If you give them their freedom and show them your love, they will come to you every time and give far more love than they receive. They don't always know how to look out for their own best interests, such as when crossing busy roads. And, among my favorite cats I remember was one of my father's co-worker's cats, named "Futz," as big as a Corgi, who upon being brought home, used to terrorize my father's girlfriends if they were anti-cat: he would perch up high above them and wait until the right moment, at which he would spring flying down on them all claws out to attack their stockings ! But never to those he knew loved cats. Funny creatures, the cat.

I found two abandonded kittens on separate occasions, when I was a child, and raised them as if they were my own children. I don't know why but if I see an abandonded baby cat it's my instinct to take it with me and nurture it. There are a lot of cat lovers out there but I'm probably among the extreme ones. I really understand cats well and all the cats I've taken care of have become super intelligent and more like dogs in terms of affection and loyalty.

One time when I was angry with my first cat for crawling into forbidden places, I faked an epileptic attack and as soon as I started shaking and making noise as if I was dying, the cat came rushing to my aid and became really worried.

Cats use a lot of body language by the way. They communicate a lot by blinking their eyes.

My theory is that the cat is not welcome at this house. It barges in and eats food and will not stay away. So the owner of the house set this camera up.

Anyone ever had a bold neighborhood cat that comes in pet doors unwelcome?

That is why I prefer cats to dogs. Cats are their own people (in a manner of speaking). They do not live to please others. They are my kind of people.
