I just realised something. I have never started a thread on any site anywhere before and i was wondering the possible outcome or connotations of such a drastic action. Sure this doesnt look like much but if this helps just one person overcome their fears and do something they have never done before then i feel i will have succeded.

Remember, Rome wase'nt built in a day and Joan Collins didnt write amazing novels on a 5 minute sitdown with her typewriter but if we push ourselves great things can come of it. Could this lead to a new kind of forum where your fear is set aside and where boundaries that held you back all your lifes are crossed and left behind forever leaving you to soar like an eagle or is this just spam?

Do you want to start with Joan Collins? Was that irony, or do you really think she writes "amazing" novels?

Congratulations! I am sure it will become a nice healthy thread, going on to cause rifts and splitting into off topic tangential baby threads.
Oh they just grow up so fast.

No. I've never read a single novel by her, so I can't really make an informed judgement, but I can't believe it's what I would like. Now, J.K. Rowling, that's another thing!

Just looking for something to start moving your thread with. Maybe this will anyway.

Thanks Morlock. It might be my last thread. It is much easier for me to discuss that which has already been written or that which has been said than come up with anything new.

I dont see what i have written in this thread that will cause rifts. Even most of Jackie Collins fans realise she is no shakespeare.

It´s always good expirimenting something new. Congratulations!

There are always exceptions though:
Making fireworks, trying to repair your digital calculator, becoming president of the US, trying to date your boss, contradicting women. asking a police-officer he has drunk.
You can think more examples yourself I think.

One of the most difficult things in life is doing things that you fear. Spiders don't count; I'm too scared of spiders to own one! Anyways, congrats that you overcame your fear; I have to overcome fear sometimes because of crosscountry. Being a few minutes before a high-paced race makes some people very nervous. Also, in band I have to overcome my fear of playing in front of people alone that I don't know by the annual solo/ensemble.

Im glad that you have a few talents aspiegirl2 and have the courage and application to go through with them. I used to run as part of boxing training and hope to get back to some sort of fitness schedule though il never be a long distance runner i dont think. Im more used to short bursts of energy for my exercises. Well done on being musically talented. Being a musician is something id love to do but lack natural talent or application really.
