You get revenge in an alternate universe.

I wish The band I want to win will win America's next great band.

Granted, but they get stuck in a hurricane so they do not make the event.

I wish that there was automated cars.

Granted, but they all drive into trees.

I wish I had the answers for every question.

Granted, but the answers depress you and you slowly go insane.

I wish that I didn't have to be so depressed.

Granted. In fact, you become almost insanely happy. However, you get diagnosed as bi-polar, and get put on lithium, wellbutrin(sp?), zoloft, paxil, prozac, etc. You spend many years in a pharmaceutical-induced haze.

I wish that there was a FAQ available at this time for Spyro on the Wii, so my wife could make it past a certian part.

Granted, and your wife completes the level... but then becomes an FAQ junky and can't play through anything without using internet strategy guides. The degree to which this detracts from the novelty and fun of the experience eats you up inside.

I wish I could hold a vast quantity of data in my working memory store, that this data would be stable with no effort on the part of my attentional resources, and that I could operate on all of it as easily as with virtual scratch marks on a palm pilot.

Granted, but the data gets corrupted when you try to retrieve the data.

I wish humans could fly.

Granted, they fly into trees.

Granted, but it's made of wool, AND doesn't say it, so when you wash it, it both shrinks, and turns into felt.

I wish I was evil.

Granted, but you get busted by the cops the first time you commit a crime.

I wish that all politicians told the truth.

I said evil, not criminal :P

Granted. Unfortunately, the masses are too stupid to realise it, and continue to vote for people that'll shred the constitution, kill our troops, and cause general misery for the working-class.

I wish I had dragon wings.

Granted, but you can no longer fit through doorways.

I wish I could back a roughie in the Melbourne Cup at, say, 200 to 1, and have it romp home by five lengths.

I wish that Nickelback would be a better appreciated rock band and not like what most people think of Nickelback.

You forgot to grant his wish, there, Race. I'll grant his for you, and yours to boot.

1. Granted, but since I have no idea what that means, the Melbourne Cup explodes when the winning team lifts it up, killing the whole team.

2. Granted, but the band can't handle the fame and fortune and breaks up in a nasty dispute.

I wish that I could draw well.

Granted, and you draw so well, that all who gaze upon your work are blinded by the beauty. Your powers are heralded as infernal, you acquire the infamous name "the searing stroke," and like all artists, you are persecuted to the ends of the Earth.

I wish I could sense the passage of time such that I could pronounce it, on command, to within 1 millisecond, taking into account even the time-distorting effects of relativity due to my own velocity.

Done, but you have to live with the fact that out of all the things you could have wished for, you can tell time accurately.

I wish I could fly.
