I couldn't actually see any of the writing on the page with the Japanese, Chinese etc. language, I just saw a load of numbered boxes, which wasn't very helpful.

I think i got japanse/chinese and latvian/estonian the wrong way around.

Is there any obvious differences that i can look out for to differentiate?

Well, Japanese and Chinese aren't too difficult to distinguish. Highlight the text to see the spoiler.

Chinese consists of complicated characters with more or less rectilinear strokes. Japanese has those, but also adds a bevy of fairly simple curvilinear characters. I've highlighted the latter in the website's inscription in Japanese.

I got 22 of 24 and it must have been one of those two pairings that I mixed up. I don't have a clue which, those were both more or less blind guesses.

I'm pretty sure that the first thing on that page was Elvish and that the second question with the runes was dwarfish. I think you could find examples of them online. I'd look myself, but my laptop is being super slow.

I got 16 out of 24.

24/24. Wasn't too sure on Chinese/Japanese and Estonian/Latvian. I studied French and German at school but English is the only language I speak fluently.

To make it really hard, they could
-Put several Scandinavian languages in the same question
-Put several languages using the same non-Western alphabet in the same question
