Je ne sais pas ou meillieur je ne fume pas la pipe. Mais qui, je fume les cigarettes roller même. C'est une habitude très stupide. Je suis fou et n'est pas très forte. Merde.

Je faut arrêtte cette habitude fou.

(hey, out of the top of my head (?).. not bad, if I may say so myself.... )

There are probably mistakes made but still I claim victory here.

I understood it all anyway, mistakes or not. I wish I could write French as well as I can read it.
Tut tut tut, smoking! Naughty man! I gave up twenty years ago and have been much healthier since then. It also seems to be a very expensive addiction nowadays.

I win because I'm a smug none smoker.

You win for you're right as rain (how hypocr.... or double of me that might sound). Um, I'm talking to a psychologist again and she suggested cognitive behavior therapy (or more exact RET) could be a thing for me. I'm skeptic about it and dislike talking about myself that way but maybe maybe maybe those techniques could be useful trying to stop smoking also. (mmmm, let me think)

Oh, made a swift calculation here.... did you smoke more than 100 years then? (tut tut tut)

(man, I feel like a thread hijacker sometimes lately)

:D

Tricky thing giving up smoking. I gave up several times only to restart again after a few weeks or month or two. Part of the problem was going out to the pub in the evening with friends who smoked. Difficult to give up in those circumstances. Finally gave up after getting married, spouse and me both gave up at the same time and somehow both managed it. I think it just comes down to wanting to give up and provided you can get through the initial temptations it can be done. Cigarettes disgust me now as does the smoke if any drifts into my face :eew:

Yeah, it all starts with the will.. wanting it.. and I think the time has come to slash the big knot here. Not a promise, don't do promises.... try not to, but I think I'm going do some net researching looking for techniques used to tackle this problem. If it's not tomorrow I'll stop, it will be in the near future....

But first I have to get rid of the leaves in the roof 'gutter', it's full of them, a shower afterward, groceries shopping and....

See you later, always nice talking to you, T..

Salut.... au ret*d.

I'm not a ret*d! (Ah the joy of language)

I bet people end up in all kinds of situations by misunderstanding words from another language.

I wonder how many French people have "demanded" something they were "asking" for, and been surprised at the response.

Also I wonder how often English people use the familiar tu instead of vous and accidentally insult French people?

I did raise the eyebrows of my elderly French neighbour by saying on a hot day "Je suis chaude"; unaware of its sexual connotation.
