I use thyme more often.

Basic vinaigrette or creamy salad dressing (ranch, caesar, etc.)?

Neither.. (sorry).. I usually make a simple dressing myself. With lemon juice (for I dislike vinegar), melted honey, thyme, salt and pepper.

mm, sounds lovely. No oil?

If by itself, I guess iceberg. Rocket (arugula) is a nice accent but a bit strong alone (for my taste).

No, no oil.. little bit of Dutch mayonnaise sometimes.. but as of late (grow into in) I like goat's cheese cut into little cubes through my salad as well. (um, no mayonnaise then)

And medium well for me..
