Nice new avatar, Kipro.....why is he sad?

I'm sorry to hear about the hamster. First I thought you only had it for the summer and it sounded very short for an average hamster's lifespan, but one whole year is probably middle-aged for hamsters (depending on the type of hamster of course) so it's possible that the death was from natural causes. Sad nonetheless.

I feel the same way, after Moomingirl left for her holiday it feels like everybody else disappeared as well.. It's probably going to be a lonely week before everyone returns.

But we'll keep posting cute animal pictures, right?

yep, butter was a roborovski, they are very very feisty and hard to handle, so maybe he escaped and got trapped behind a furniture piece. that's how one my mine met his fate, when i was in 3rd grade.
i have 3 now. i got them early last summer.
i don't know their actual ages but they couldn't have been that old when i got them, pet stores don't keep them for that long, if they don't sell they just give 'em to the snakes (hey, they gotta eat too.)

i'm not sure why Scarlett is sad, i felt like i needed a change but i was reluctant to go with a sad looking one.

she lost her glasses too.

A puppy:

yep, he's the oldest one we've got. a true sweetheart.

Misha may have a bit of an attitude.....what about a temper?

he doesn't like being woken up suddenly (who does), and will defend his food fiercely.


carlton's temper....is white hot.

Don't worry, the cat below is not after the hamsters....

i thought the tail was a long, weird hamster. had to get a close look.

Not much to tell. Went to Rarotonga. Small island, only two hours round on a scooter. Everything pretty run down and poor. But spectacular scenery, we sat on our balcony sipping pina coladas and watched whales go past. Swam in crystal clear lagoons with beautiful fish. It was lovely.

Hi Moomin, I'm glad you're safely back. We missed you. I'm taking a nice break from work for a few days: booked off by dr because I have an inflamed left heel, maybe from running. Have to rtake it easy for a couple of days, couldn't walk on it for a day or two.

Been windy and rainy here. At least you don't seem to have attracted a tropical storm while on Rarotonga...

Enjoy checking out all the threads / pages you missed. Krabo's taking a bit of a break again, it seems: maybe he has been waiting for your reappearance...
