My question is how one can be empathic but yet socially introverted and withdrawn?

yeah, maybe, or i feel guilty for most everything regardless even if i am not at fault.

You are definitely empathic a lot of the time. You may not always get it right, but you're pretty good at telling what someone's feeling. You make an effort whenever possible. You don't necessarily want others to know how you're feeling yourself though. You're the kind of person who cares a lot about those around you, and don't necessarily have to know someone to worry about them.

People close to you are more likely to awaken your empathic abilities, after all it's much easier to tell when someone you know is having a bad day. You think more with your head than your heart, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there are times when you wish you could read people a little better.

No, you don't have to join anywhere, it is not required. And after all, nobody checks whether you gave real information, you may always lie you're 18. When I was registering there I wrote I lived in Prague while in real I'm not even from the Czech Republic
