Eh...to be honest I hadn't even really thought about the bill lately. I've simply been distracted by far better things...

Like a girlfriend, education, or work?

What's your favorite RTS?

I played a lot of Rise of Nations (with the expansion) this past spring and fall. I made bootlegs of a copy that a guy in my apartment building had, and we were playing four person games over wireless. My freshman year, I played some Age of Empires II, due to a similar arrangement over the network in the dormitory.

Though it isn't an RTS, I played some FreeCiv over the last year. I had to play it for an elective I took to meet graduation requirements!

Before that, the big ones were Starcraft and TA:Kingdoms. Dune 2000 was a lot of fun way back when.

Bootlegging... :? I liked AoE fairly well. I'd like to get the new one with modern technology once I have a good enough computer.

AOE2 probably has better strategy and tactics options. I think AOE3 still has the same population limit of 200, and an added limit on some buildings. There is a mod for AOE2 that can give upgrades for 1000 units.

Eh...I was always the guy that people went to when they wanted more copies of a game so that people could play over a local network. Freshman year, I was duplicating Ghost Recon so everyone on my hall could play each other. Once I had an apartment, I was the "software guy." If someone fried their computer or bombed their windows installation, I'd give them a "backup" copy so they wouldn't be totally screwed if they had a paper or an assignment due.

If there was a game with a local network multiplayer option, I'd be the one to make duplicates of the CD. Usually the same CD key would work fine for all copies, at least for network play.

(These obviously wouldn't work at all for online play, but it was enough for people to play a casual game over the network. Starcraft was well designed in this way, letting you install "seed" copies solely for network play.)
*The above statements are not admission of any guilt...and could be completely fictitious...possibly... 8)
I don't really play any games anymore, just the occasional old SNES or NES or Genesis game on the Wii's virtual console.

Legend of Zelda
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Breath of Fire II
Super Mario World
Beyond Oasis
Ecco the Dolphin
Sonic the Hedgehog
Mario Bros (basically the mini-game from Mario 3, but as a stand-alone game.)
Mario Kart 64

I like Mario, I think you and Raph share the Zelda thing in common. Any RTS for the Wii?

I only Zelda:LTTP, some Gradius game, and Super Castlevania 4 on my Wii.

I haven't looked at the downloadable games in a while now.

I don't know of any RTS games currently available for the Wii, though I haven't really purchased any games (other than for the virtual console) since after I got the system. There might be some out there...I just don't really keep track of the new releases these days. Between Wii Sports and the virtual console, I don't really feel the need to spend any money on a new game yet.

RTSs probably wouldn't work to well on a console.

I don't know. Most RTSs are more usable with a mouse and keyboard, instead of a controller with just a few buttons.
