Yeah, I knew that much cuz I googled them----but, I've never seen them act, to my knowledge, so I couldn't judge between them.

That was simply cruel!

I choose Dame Judi, because of her bravery in continuing to work despite her affliction.

Basil Rathbone or Jeremy Brett?

Basil Rathbone or Jeremy Brett?

I'm gonna go with Basil Rathbone----Swashbuckling and Horror movies----can't go wrong with THAT. I don't really know much about Jeremy Brett----have never, really, been a "Sherlock Holmes" fan----his birthday was the day after mine, though----he couldn't have been "bad".

I'm not a fan of either gentleman.

Robert Plant, simply because I like the music of Led Zeppelin better than that of The Who

"Hi Ho Silver Lining" or "Spirit in the Sky"?

I don't know anything about either of those two things.

Sidebar: DeepHour, generally speaking, why don't British men wear wedding bands?

SONGS (70s):

"Maggie May" by Rod Stewart

OR

"Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel

Maggie May.

More for the instrumental bit near the end, than the vocal contribution of RS.

(I had to look up "wedding band", just to confirm that it was the same as our "wedding ring"!)

To be honest, CC, it's not too uncommon at all for married men over here to wear them, though it's more prevalent amongst women, as you imply. The British wedding ceremony emphasizes the bridal ring ("With this ring, I thee wed"), no mention being made of one for the groom. I don't know whether this is any different from what happens in your part of the world, though.

But.... if SHE'S marrying HIM----isn't HE marrying HER??? LOL (rhetorical)

In our country, BOTH receive a ring at the ceremony----and, almost ALWAYS, BOTH continue to wear them, afterward.

Okay, I was just wondering because I can only think of TWO British male actors, off the top of my head, who wear wedding rings, in real life----Colin Firth, and Martin Clunes. Every married male in BritComs, that I can think of, doesn't wear a wedding band----again, except for Doc Martin----so, I just wondered.....

Oh, that's a real toughie----both about the same age, had Waylon lived----similar styles.....

I'm gonna go with....

I'm gonna go with Waylon----only because I think I remember him being around longer----though, I have a great appreciation for Willie, as well.
