Cid started running after the girl Selphie. He pulled out a Comms unit and spoke into it.

"Comms, link me to Reeve."

"Roger."

A few seconds of static, then Reeve's voice. "Reeve here. What is wrong Cid?"

"The church was full of monsters. Problem is, one of the Gardens is destroyed, and one of Balamb's students is pretty upset about it. Problem is, she doesn't know how dangerous Midgar's slums are since Meteorfall, so I've got to get her back before a Marlboro or something gets her. They've been migrating from North Crater lately."

"We read a large Mako surge in your area. What was that?"

"I needed to break out Knights of the Round to kill a rather ornery squid. It's still recharging. Reeve, we still have a problem, like what the hell caused all this dimensional BS."

"We're still working on it."

Cid came into the park and saw Selphie sobbing there. Cid had never had children of his own, although he often felt like an uncle to Cloud, Tifa and Yuffie. Shera was pregnant, and Cid was really starting to fret about fatherhood. He was also disturbed about the soldier-like way these kids from Garden acted. But seeing Selphie break down and run away like that touched a chord with Cid. As well trained as these kids were, they were still kids. Hell, Cloud and Tifa weren't much older than these kids.

He spoke softly into the Comms. "Cid to Shera. We're at the Sector 6 Slums. The playground."

"Roger that. Should we come as well?"

"No. Give me....15 minutes. If you haven't heard anything good out of me by then, bring them in."

Cid pocketed his Comms device and approached Selphie, who was sobbing loudly on top of the domed, cat-faced play dome. The wooden spikes that had impaled the cheerful thing from the collapse of Sector 7 had long since been removed, whether by a clean-up crew or by the winds caused by Meteorfall, he had no idea.

"Selphie, it's me. Cid. What's the matter, girl?"

Locke saw Selphie sobbing and Cid trying to confront her. Then Terra began to get worried. General Leo's words were still in her mind even though he was dead now. Locke told her, "Don't worry, everything will be fine. I'm sure we'll find a way back to our world."

"We are in that world," Terra told Locke, "it's just mixed with other worlds."

At this point Locke realised that there was no going back. Their world had fused together with this one.

And there was someone else who had managed to find their way into Midgar. An old foe of Locke and Terra's had found their way in here.

At that moment, a clown like figure appeared. It muttered an evil laugh and said hate over and over again.

"Life..... Dreams...... all worthless."

Kefka had arrived in Midgar.

And Locke and Terra knew that meant trouble. Just when everything was alright again, something goes wrong.

(Well let's face it, you can't do an FF RP without having plot twists)

Quistis grinned and showed the guests to the dorms. After introducing herself to Locke and Terra, she told them that the dorms, the cafeteria, the library and the training room were in working order and the guests were welcome to use them.

"OK Quistis," said Locke, who suddenly felt a need to protect her. "Watch out, that clown over there is Kefka and he's evil. He wants nothing more than to destroy the world. We have to be careful."

At that moment an earthquake shook. Kefka had used Quake to try and attack them. Locke, Terra and Quistis were thrown back.

(That's OK, I don't mind if Kefka is powerplayed)

From behind Kefka, a large beast with a lion-like face surrounded by flames appeared.

"Prepare to die." said Ifrit.

Cid watched the Ifrit summon rush at Kefka, and dodged away...
