Which country is that?

Here in South Africa, the maximum temperatures in some places today were 43 and 44 C, and even in the city where I'm in now, it was around 34C.

No one with sense can deny global warming is true!

Well my BF's brother lives abroad in Berlin and reports that it is 15 C there and no sign of any snow. Not usual for this time of year.

Skil, is it acceptable in Norway to say "I don't like x" when the person you are talking with has previously said they like it...?

I guess it depends on the situation and how much people like whatever it is, but although I have come across people who have been direct, even blunt, it's common to soften it. Instead of saying "I don't like..." people will often say "it's not my type of..." or "it's not my favorite..."

Hmm... interesting!
In my country it's the same thing. Softening is completely acceptable, and even brutal honestly is appreciated depending on the context.
Apparently in the US people get offended much easier if you disagree with them or are "not awesomely-happy like everyone else"...
...
Let's not discuss it though.
