Yeah, it's one of my very favorite parts of LotR----and, I thought Liv Tyler was BEYOND FABULOUS, in that part!!

What is it with you people? What kind of twisted upbringing did you have? You know, why can't you just say, 'Oh, that'll be 100 gold coins'? Why does it always have to be, 'No! Not unless you lay a magic egg, or count the hairs on that giant's a**!'?"

Ooooh, I loved that movie!!

Hey, Kyle----have you ever seen "The Hunger Games"? I saw it last night, and was actually impressed enough to consider it, one to buy!! It was very close to the book, and I really appreciate that.

~~~~~~~~~~
President Snow: [voice over] War, terrible war. Widows, orphans, a motherless child. This was the uprising that rocked our land. Thirteen districts rebelled against the country that fed them, loved them, protected them. Brother turned on brother until nothing remained. And then came the peace, hard fought, sorely won. A people rose up from the ashes and a new era was born. But freedom has a cost. When the traitors were defeated, we swore as a nation we would never know this treason again. And so it was decreed that, each year, the various districts of Panem would offer up, in tribute, one young man and woman to fight to the death in a pageant of honor, courage and sacrifice. The lone victor, bathed in riches, would serve as a reminder of our generosity and our forgiveness. This is how we remember our past. This is how we safeguard our future.
Yes, indeed. I have all three books and the first two movies. They are indeed basically the same as the books. Having read the books, I already know what is going to happen in the last two movies.
Katniss Everdeen: It's okay. You're okay. You're okay. You're okay.
Rue: Did you blow up the food?
Katniss Everdeen: Every bit of it.
Rue: Good... You have to win... Can you sing?
Katniss Everdeen: Okay.
YAAAAAY, Thomas!!
Katniss Everdeen: Peeta! Peeta! Oh!
Peeta Mellark: Are you okay?
Katniss Everdeen: I heard the cannon. I thought...
[noticing the berries he's picked]
Katniss Everdeen: That's nightlock, Peeta! You'll be dead in a minute!
Peeta Mellark: I-I didn't know.
Katniss Everdeen: You scared me to death. Damn you.
[hugs him]
Peeta Mellark: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
(Eats green egg) "Oh. Hmm!" (Laughs like Tigger) "Say!" (Laughs, eats a slice of ham and the other egg) "I like green eggs and ham! I do! I like them, Sam-I-Am!"
Nameless character who is voiced by the guy who did Tigger in Green Eggs and Ham.
"Wormwood! You useless, used-car-salesman scum! I want you around here now with another car! Yes, I know what caveat emptor means, you low life liar! I'm gonna sue you. I'm gonna burn down your showroom! I'm gonna take that no-good jalopy you sold me and shove it up your bazooga! When I'm finished with you, you're gonna look like roadkill!"
Agatha Trunchbull in Matilda.
Umbridge was a lot like Trunchbull, don't you think? They are both horribly abusive, selfrighteous, sadistic teachers who should have been arrested and thrown in prison right away. I don't know which one was worse. I had to skip certain parts of the book/movie in both cases because their cruelty was making me so angry.
Yeah, I know----Umbridge was just HORRIBLE----as was Snape, really!! I can definitely see why it would affect you, so deeply.
