Where's the Miskatonic University? Is it near Harvard?

Brave, haha, not really. The pics of weta don't gross me out because they kinda look like crickets, and I like crickets. Are they aggressive towards people?

There are plenty of bugs that do gross me out though, like harvest men and their flying type equivalent. And I think flies are the most annoying things ever! They're dirty, disgusting and can spread diseases. Not a fan.

That'd be a real cool sight!

I also dislike flies but they don't scare me.

Nope, not aggressive. I'm not a fan of crickets. In cricket season here it is almost deafening.

I don't like flies either. We had the first one of the season annoying me yesterday when I was trying to work.

You don't like their chirping? Oh. Is it a sensory issue or are there just a lot of them where you live? I've always liked their chirping myself....

I hope we've seen the last fly of the season here.

Cockroach, I'm not scared of flies themselves, but I'm a germophobe and they have been shown to spread the bacteria campylobacter pylori, and they're just dirty and disgusting. Just think of all the places they like to sit. Yuck!! Not to mention that they're plain annoying. Really hate flies.

^ There's a lot. One or two are okay, but it can be disturbingly loud here, there must be thousands. There's one road I drive along, and as you go through a tree lined area it is almost deafening with cricket noise. No exaggeration.

Not to mention, when they buzz right on your ears.

Oh, I see, Moomin. I've never encountered that amount of crickets here. Only some at a time. I'm a city girl lol.

I've never had them do that, Kyle. Only with flies and beetles. :eew:

I often hear crickets, but I never see them.

I prefer the sound of what are commonly known as Christmas beetles. I remember how they use to "sing" in the bushes around Christmas time when we went to visit my gran's brothers who had a seaside resort.

Not crazy about crickets and really dislike flies as they spread the wrong message! Bees are OK and I love ladybirds, but seldom see them.

While on bugs we like, butterflies and dragonflies are very beautiful. Once a dragonfly flew in from the living room side veranda and flew through the kitchen and towards the veranda there. Luckily I managed to help it out.

Bumblebees are really cute with their chubby looking bodies. I watched a program about them earlier this year, and I was shocked to learn that bumblebees are really tough and can outfight mice 8O They lift their leg when to show aggressiveness. I was really surprised, as they seem so peaceful, especially compared to their kin bees and wasps.

Have you ever been stung by a bee?
