One plot direction I have considered is pulling a Rick and Morty by having the station destroyed (and possibly starting an interplanetary nuclear war) and instead Mike could go back to the second identical universe that the second Mike emerged from. I'm yet to figure out what could become of the second Mike.

Yeah, making it take place in the past is fine. Even if it changes the future we won't loose much and it's a bit dull right now anyway. I don't know about everyone else but I'm fine with more grim things. Nexus Station is from a science fiction universe where one of the major events is a civilian ship being blown up by terrorists en route to Mars, not to mention the possible outcome I mentioned above.

(OOC: Cool, glad to see the story pick up again. I've been having fun with it, though I'm a bit confused now.

Sorry I misunderstood what Mikeman said about the catwalks. I thought they were traversing the station.

I hesitated because I think I'm especially bad at writing out logistics of physical feats like climbing scenes. Instead, I was waiting to see how other people handled it first.

I'd enjoy seeing what Lillikoi has to say, especially because we haven't heard from her characters in a while. I'm just confused on where I should be, both in the timeline and in the logistics of their journey. So I still don't know what to put here. I guess that may also depend on Lillikoi, if her scene brings us back a bit?)

(Yayy! Things finally start up again! I'm kinda to see what Lilli pulls out of her hat, and I'm exited to go back to Pokémon, but I've still got to daydream out exactly what is going on with Team Eon. But I'm fine with things getting a tad grim.

I'm even writing a thing on it.
And now I've weird headcanons going on, like Malva being related to Lysandre. And Steven Stone is now head of the Devon Corporation. Also, Xerosic apparently reads shoujo manga. )

(OOC: Riku seems pretty sassy himself actually. Thanks for that fun little interlude while we wait for Lily. BTW, can all pokemon talk to each other in this game? How about how well they all understand their trainers and other people? I thought maybe it was just the ones with the psi powers and maybe the more evolved pokemon but all Laura's pokemon seem to be involved. Doesn't that complicate things, making the pokemon self-aware people, rather than clever animals to be captured?)

(Sorry for double posting, but I wanted to say what was going on with Laura's Pokemon.)

"I hope Laura's doing well..." Riku trailed off.

"Paranoid." Anna snorted.

"Ignorant." Riku retorted and groaned. I wonder if I'm the only one around here that knows how to get stuff done. he thought.

"Ooh, if I wasn't in my Pokeball, I'd..." Anna huffed.

"Why don't you use your ribbons on yourself!?

"FYI, they don't work on--"

"Guys will you quit it?! I'm trying to sleep! And besides, if Laura could hear this, what would she say? We're supposed to be working together for her good and each other's good, not arguing! Now apologize and say your both Magikarp heads." Sparkler snapped.

"...fine. I'm sorry Riku." Anna said begrudgingly. "But I'm not doing that last one."

"My apploligies, Anna." Riku sighed. They both bickered for attention, because even though Anna was the star of Laura's team and most iconic Pokemon, Riku was her mega evolver, and vice versa. "And neither am I doing that."

"You both agree on something!? Oh my Arceus, stop the presses!" Sparker said teasingly.

Both of them sighed.

(If you can't tell, I'm trying to convey the natures they actually have in the game. Anna is sassy, and hates to lose, that includes both arguments and battles, Riku is serious, both Sparkler and Hatsune are both relaxed, Sparkler likes to take naps, Randy is naive, and Sora is bashful. Am I doing a good job conveying that? Also, the parts where they were in Kalos, I was trying to make it exactly like the game, but that got a little screwed up. )

(All of Laura's Pokemon evolved from something. Anna, Sparkler, and Randy all evolved from Eevees, Sora was once just an ordinary Pidgey, Riku... Well, he has a story unto himself along with Laura's Frogadeir, but Riku was a Riolu once. And Hatsune... Well, she doesn't have a pre evolved form, but she's not a dummy, so she can understand people too. My point being, that it just depends on the Pokemon. Honestly, I don't really get how it works, but Pokemon seem to understand each other, along with people, no matter the Pokemon. I really don't know how that works. Sorry for not helping. )

Earlier, when they were walking along on the catwalk, Lilli heard a noise. They couldn't tell quite what it but it sounded... sort of metallic?

Was that.. something hitting the floor? They couldn't quite pinpoint from whence it came, but it seemed to be somewhere above them.

Lilli paused mid-step, frozen like a meerkat on alert.
"Did you hear that?"

Laura nodded, and looked around, her eyes wide.

Guinan looked up from her position as she pulled herself up the twisted metal by her arms. "Yeah, maybe, it sounds far away though," she said, continuing to climb.

Sound can't propagate in space, but since our characters are holding onto the station they would be able to faintly hear the vibrations coming in through their hands and feet. I don't know of that was the intention, but I just figured I would point that out.

Mike hears a slight somewhat metallic sound coming from the station. "Sam, you heard that too right?" Sam replies, "You mean the sound? Yeah, both my microphones and those on your prosthetic arm picked up a sound coming from the station. I have no idea what it could be though." Mike shrugs and says "It's probably just something hitting the station, it's not like we have a shortage of rouge projectiles and scrap around here. ... On second thought, that's not very reassuring."

(OOC: Yeah, sorry about that, I wasn't thinking LOL. The other possibility is someone intruding on their communications frequency and making sound that way.)

Oh shoot, I didn't realize that. It was meant to be a small sound, like the impact of something falling.

So if something fell would they be able to feel it from the floor above them? (Like through the railing?) The catwalks are connected, right?

I don't wanna say what it is because that would spoil the plot point but what I meant for it to be was something hitting the floor.

We would still be able to faintly hear vibrations that propagate from the ladder and through our arms to our ears. If the sound is loud and/or close enough then we might still be able to hear it. Let's just assume for the sake of the story that the sound was able to propogate through the station to us. Even if we couldn't hear it Mike's robotic arm and Sam have some sensitive microphones on them.
