No, it was Cruella. She took a bottle from Jasper (While he was drinking it) and threw it in a lit fireplace.

No wonder she is called Cruella DeVil. It takes a lot of evilness to snatch a bottle of alcoholic drink from someone's hand.

It takes a lot more evilness to kill so many puppies.

Her method was really cruel and disgusting: skinning them alive. It's a good thing they escaped.

I am a dog lover, so you would think I hate Cruella, but I actually don't. She's funny.

My most hated Disney villain is Judge Claude Frollo. He is a self-righteous fanatic.

How do you know one size doesn't fit all? One size of lollipop or sandwhich fits everyone.

Because not everyone likes or does or talks about the exact same thing. It you gathered the whole Human Race into one room. You would not be able to get every single one of them to agree unanimously on any one thing.

Except cockroaches.

And slugs.

And spiders.

And scary clowns under the bed.

They would agree on one thing: that everyone will eventually die.

OMG, this is so embarrassing, but I only just realized her last name now that I read Cockroach's post! Devil. I never picked up on that when hearing it said, nor when I read as a kid (which isn't strange since the name was the same in the book, and 'devil' doesn't mean anything in Norwegian).

I've seen the movie and the cartoon. I hated Cruella, just like I've hated any character that treated or wanted to treat animals cruelly. That is one thing I have never had the least sense of humor about, not even in fiction. (Yet strangely I had no problems playing Duck Hunt on NES. Go figure.)
Despite how cute the dogs are, I think I like the cartoon best, maybe because I'm so used to the looks of it from the picture book I had when I was little. I loved those images and would flip through the books before I could read, remembering the story. Good times.

And didn't Glenn Close do a splendid job of portraying Ms. De Ville in the film?

She did it nothing less than perfect! She was seriously made for that role.

She was perfect, too, in 'Fatal Attraction'.

I agree.

Cruella De Vil: "Congratulations. You've just won gold, silver, and bronze in the Morons Olympics!"

Horace: "Who won the gold?"

(He does, just for asking that question!)

Cruella De Vil: "SHUT UP! My business, my reputation, my life, has been ruined because you three incompetent twits let yourselves be outsmarted by a bunch of dumb animals! And you call yourselves men? HA! I've seen more intelligent pieces of carpet!"

(I love that line! She calls them stupid, but she's the one who picked up a skunk!)

Cruella is scary. Her hair is black and white.
